Ghana missed out the chance of securing an early Nations Cup berth after losing 1-0 to Sudan in Khartoum on Tuesday.
Mohamed Rahman scored a last-gasp winner, helping his side keep their hopes alive in the Nations Cup qualifiers.
Ghana are still on top of Group C with nine points, on level with South Africa, who defeated Sao Tome 4-2 away on Monday. Sudan are third in the group with six points.
In Group K, Ethiopia revived their hopes after outclassing Niger 3-0 at home while heavyweights Cote d’Ivoire were held to 1-1 draw by Madagascar as both sides kept their place on top with seven points each.
Ethiopia are third with six points.
In Group F, Rwanda drew 0-0 with Cape Verde at home to remain at the bottom with two points. Cape Verde are third with four points, on level with second-placed Mozambique.
Cameroon, who will host the Nations Cup in early 2022, are leading the group with ten points.
