Ian Wright visited Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s dad after insisting that the Gunners need to secure the striker’s future.
Aubameyang was at his influential best during Arsenal’s opening day victory over Fulham, rounding off a 3-0 win with a stunning strike.
The 31-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, although he is expected to agree fresh terms imminently.

Analysing Arsenal’s win on Match of the Day, club legend Wright admitted it was imperative to tie down Aubameyang.
He said: “I’m going to go see Papa Aubameyang tomorrow.
“They have to sign, simple as that, I’m not going to leave. [I’ll take the contract to him personally] if I have to!”
Aubameyang’s father then uploaded a picture on Instagram of himself with Wright at the Emirates.
He captioned the picture: “What a surprise the legend @wrightyofficial came to see me. what do you think? In any case for me it was very enriching.”
