A fantastic last quarter for the Golden State Warriors gave them the win over the Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors put on an incredible show on Saturday night in the NBA. Both teams who are fighting for the top spot in the West were ready to give it all on the court in order to get the much-needed victory over their rivals. The Jazz came into this fixture on a 6-game winning streak, while the Warriors have just lost to the Nuggets. Even though that Klay Thompson is still missing for Steve Kerr, he knew that Steph Curry is more than enough for his team. The game started off quite well for the Warriors who managed to pick up a 14-point lead in the end of the first half, 50-64. However, a 29-10 run in favor of the Jazz in the beginning of the third quarter turned things around. They entered the last 12 minutes of the match with a slight advantage, 91-86. Fortunately for the Warriors, Steph Curry came in charge in the last quarter. He dropped 11 points in order to secure the final victory for his team, 116-123. Donovan Mitchell was the main reason behind Jazz' defeat. His terrible 4-19 performance from the field came in decisive in the end as he missed shot after shot at a certain point in the match. A total of 4 players reached the 20-point mark for the Jazz.  However, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gobert, and Donovan Mitchell's efforts were simply not enough. The French center of the Jazz also added massive 19 rebounds. The Jazz lost the most in their favorite aspect of the game - the 3-point shots. They went for 14-44 for the night which was slightly above the 30%-mark. For comparison, the Warriors were highly efficient with their 53.1% performance on a 17-32 shooting. The situation in the West remain the same as the Warriors keep their top spot, while the Jazz are still in 3rd place. Next for the Warriors is an intense home game against the Miami Heat. The Jazz, on the other hand, will start their 5-game journey on the road with a match against the Pelicans.
