Adebayor sent off in Conmebol Libertadores game

Share

Emmanuel Adebayor was sent off in Thursday battle between his team Olimpia Asunción and Defensa y Justicia in Conmebol Libertadores game in Paraguay.

The 36-year-old raised his foot higher to tap opponent player in 72 minutes in the match and he was given a red card for seriously foul play.

But his team clinched a narrow victory in front of their fans with 2goals to 1 despite being one-man short.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City striker was afforded his fourth appearance since joining the Paraguayan side on a free transfer last month.
