The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Tuesday that its club competitions for the 2020/2021 season will start in November.

The first legs of the Champions League and Confederation Cup preliminary rounds will be held from 20-22 November, with the second legs taking place one week later, the African governing body revealed.

CAF also said the group stage of the Champions League will start 23 February, 2021 and end on 11 April after introducing a congested schedule.

The quarter-finals will begin on 15 May while the semis will be played on 18 June as both rounds would be played over two legs.

The final is scheduled to be played on 17 July.

The Confederation Cup group stage will begin on 10 March, 2021 and end on 28 April.

The quarterfinals and the semis will be played on the same dates of the Champions League while the final is set for 10 July.

The CAF stressed that local football associations are required to pick their representatives before 20 October.
