Aubameyang Honored with Prix Marc-Vivien Foé Award: Ligue 1 African Player of the Year.

Share

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the 34 year old talented Gabonese forward, has been recognized for his outstanding performances in the Olympique de Marseille shirt this season. Radio France International and France 24 have awarded him the prestigious Prix Marc-Vivien Foé.

The Prix Marc-Vivien Foé is an annual award given to the best African player in Ligue 1, in memory of the former Olympique Lyonnais and RC Lens midfielder Marc-Vivien Foé. Aubameyang joins an elite group of previous winners, including André Ayew and Chancel Mbemba.

Aubameyang's impressive record of 14 goals in Ligue 1 and his crucial role in guiding Olympique de Marseille to the semi-final of the Europa League earned him this prestigious award. His achievements have also made him a strong contender for the UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Season, although he faces stiff competition from Kylian Mbappé.
