Christopher Baah's assist helped Al-Qadsiah rescue a 1-1 draw with Al-Sadd, his third in three AFC Champions League Elite games.
Ghana's Christopher Baah is making the continental stage his own. The winger played a decisive part in Al-Qadsiah's late 1-1 draw with Qatari giants Al-Sadd in the AFC Champions League Elite on Monday, laying on the equaliser at EGO Stadium.
Al-Sadd looked to be heading for victory after Akram Afif broke the deadlock in the 74th minute with a stunning long-range strike. The visitors had the lead, but the hosts were not about to fold.
Al-Qadsiah hit back in the 84th minute. Baah linked up smartly and slipped the ball to Mexican forward Julián Quiñones, who turned and fired home to level the score. The Saudi side then pushed hard for a winner in an entertaining finish, but had to settle for a point.
The draw keeps Al-Qadsiah unbeaten in the competition, leaving them with five points from three league-phase matches. For Baah, it was another strong showing: he now has three assists in three appearances in this season's tournament.
Attention now turns to domestic duty, with a Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Riyadh set for October 29.
