BAM ADEBAYO CROWNED 2020 TACO BELL SKILLS CHALLENGE CHAMPION

Edrice Femi Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat's professional African-American basketball player of Nigeria descent has been crowned the Taco Bell Skills Challenge Champion at the 2020 NBA All-Star Games over the weekend.

Adebayo outwitted Indiana Pacers’ big man Domantas Sabonis at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, joining former Wildcat joins Heat legend Dwayne Wade as the only other player in franchise history to win the challenge.

Adebayo beat Spencer Dinwiddie in round one and Pascal Siakam in round two before facing Sabonis in the championship.

It was an epic finish, as both players connected on the pass (probably the most difficult portion of the obstacle course) and missed their first two attempts on the three-pointer.

The Heat's power forward/center, Adebayo drilled his third look right before Sabonis could, in order to seal the deal.

Adebayo, who is of Yoruba descent was on June 22, 2017, selected by the Miami Heat with the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft.

The 21 year old signed a rookie-scale contract with Heat and joined the NBA Summer League team on July 1, 2017.
