Caleb Williams stayed turnover-free and D'Andre Swift scored three times as Chicago stormed into Seattle and rolled to 6-2.
The Chicago Bears left Seattle with a statement win on Monday night, beating the Seahawks 34-17 to improve to 6-2 on the season.
Caleb Williams set the tone immediately, connecting on a touchdown pass on the opening drive. From there, the second-year quarterback played clean, composed football against one of the league's tougher defenses. He finished with 247 passing yards, completed about 71% of his throws, took only one sack and never gave the ball away.
D'Andre Swift gave the Bears their ground punch, punching in three rushing touchdowns to keep Seattle's defense on its heels. On the other side of the ball, newcomer Jeffery Simmons made his presence felt right away, finishing with a sack and six tackles while helping disrupt the Seahawks' rhythm.
The loss is another setback for Seattle, who have now dropped three of their last four games and look to be searching for answers. Chicago, meanwhile, heads into the second half of the season with real momentum and a balanced team that is starting to look like a genuine threat.
