Dr. Kingsley Owusu-Achaw teams up with the Diaspora Africa Forum to deliver over GH¢500,000 in medical supplies to hospitals in Bechem and Tepa.
A Ghanaian football owner and a diaspora-led network have joined forces to put healthcare first. Bechem United owner Dr. Kingsley Owusu-Achaw, working with the Diaspora Africa Forum (DAF) under Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett, has donated medical supplies worth more than GH¢500,000 to Bechem Government Hospital in the Ahafo Region and Tepa Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
The supplies are meant to strengthen both facilities and help them deliver essential services to the communities that depend on them. Bechem United Chief Executive Officer Kingsley Osei Bonsu handed over the items on behalf of the owner and DAF on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, according to a club statement.
This is not a one-off gesture for Owusu-Achaw. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he supported 16 hospitals across the Ashanti Region through the Manhyia Palace, providing medical supplies worth millions of cedis. The club has also kept up a pattern of donations and initiatives backing hospitals in and around Bechem.
On the pitch, the Hunters have started the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season well, sitting sixth in the table after eight matches. Off it, the club says it will keep pushing initiatives in healthcare, social welfare and sustainable community development.
