Kelvin Appiah's brace and an Isaiah Nyarko opener powered the Hunters past Debibi United and lifted them to sixth in the Ghana Premier League.
Ghana's domestic league delivered another statement from the Hunters on Sunday, as Bechem United swept aside Debibi United 3-0 at Nana Gyeabour Park in Week 8 of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League. The result wipes away the sting of last weekend's away loss to Basake Holy Stars.
Bechem came out flying and never let up. The hosts pinned Debibi back with sustained attacking pressure, leaving the visitors little room to find any rhythm. The breakthrough arrived in the 36th minute, when Isaiah Nyarko struck to reward the home side's dominant start and hand them the momentum.
Debibi had no real answer after the break, and Bechem kept control of the contest. Kelvin Appiah then took over, doubling the lead in the 71st minute before netting again in the 80th to complete his brace and close out the win.
The three points push Bechem up to sixth in the standings, a timely lift after their setback. Debibi United face a tougher picture, slipping into the bottom three after a performance that lacked the bite to trouble a determined Bechem side. The Hunters will look to carry this form forward, while Debibi must regroup quickly to climb out of the relegation zone.
