President Gianni Infantino has met with the President of the Republic of Benin, Patrice Talon, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Oswald Homeky, and the President of the Beninese Football Association (FEBEFOOT President), Mathurin de Chacus, to discuss the ongoing development of football in the country, together with the challenges that face African football going forward.
The meetings, held in Cotonou, took place exactly five years after Gianni Infantino won the elections for the FIFA Presidency in 2016.
“The football passion here in Benin is incredible and the love for our game is heartwarming and inspirational,” the FIFA President said.
