Bucky Irving's career-best 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns powered Tampa Bay past Dallas for the Buccaneers' first win of the season.
Bucky Irving put the Dallas Cowboys on the back foot and kept them there. The Tampa Bay running back delivered a career-best 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns as the Buccaneers pulled off a stunning upset for their first victory of the season.
Irving had already crossed the 100-yard mark, his first time doing so since his rookie campaign in 2024, when he closed out the Cowboys with a run that pushed him past his own personal high. It was a statement performance from a back who looked sharp, decisive and impossible to bring down when it mattered most.
Jalon Daniels deserves plenty of credit too. The undrafted rookie stepped in for franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield and made only his second NFL start, yet he played with the composure of a veteran. Between handing off to Irving and making his own plays, he gave Tampa Bay the steady hand it needed to finally get into the win column.
For Dallas, it was a frustrating afternoon. Dak Prescott threw two interceptions, and the Cowboys slipped to 2-3 on the season. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, has a spark and a young backfield star who may just have rewritten the story of their year.
