Philadelphia are on a four-game skid and without Jalen Hurts, while Dallas still can't stop anyone. Monday Night Football is a battle of NFC East strugglers.
Monday Night Football brings an NFC East rivalry with very little shine on it. The Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday 26 October, and both teams arrive with real problems to fix.
The Eagles are in the deeper hole. They have lost four straight and sit just above last place in the division. Then came the Jalen Hurts news. His blood clot issue escalated quickly and has likely ended his season, which leaves backup Tanner McKee to steer a team in crisis. Things were shaky before that. Philadelphia blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead against the Rams, then let the Jaguars storm back on them in London.
Dallas has troubles of its own, mostly on defense. Christian Parker, a former Eagles assistant, was brought in as defensive coordinator to repair a unit that has been leaking points and yards. So far the fix hasn't taken. Last weekend the Packers, who had struggled badly on third down, converted nine of their first 10 against Dallas. Offenses with problems have found the Cowboys a welcome cure.
So something has to give. An Eagles offense in turmoil faces a Cowboys defense that has struggled to stop anyone, and both teams badly need a win. Check your local NFL broadcaster or streaming service for kick-off time and coverage in your region, and get set for a messy but compelling Monday night.
