Liam Delap scored twice as Nottingham Forest stunned Manchester City 3-1 to claim their first home league win of the season.
Nottingham Forest delivered one of the Premier League's big surprises, beating Manchester City 3-1 at the City Ground behind a superb double from Liam Delap.
It was Forest's first league win at home this season, and they picked a major opponent to do it against. Delap led the way with two clinical finishes, and the home side's energy and sharpness gave City problems throughout.
For City, this is a painful setback against a side that had struggled for results at home. Defeats like this can swing a season, and the pressure will now be on the visitors to respond quickly.
For Forest and Delap, the night is a major confidence boost. The striker's two goals put him at the center of the story, and the win gives the City Ground something to celebrate after a frustrating run of home games.
