Detroit Pistons surprise the NBA Champions from the Milwaukee Bucks

The worst team in the Western Conference defeated the reigning champions from Milwaukee. The Detroit Pistons shot well from deep range which came in decisive for the final score, 106-115. Saddiq Bey led the way for the victory with a career-high 34 points on a fantastic 8-13 shooting from the 3-point line.

Josh Jackson added 24 more points, shooting 5-7 from beyond the arc. Their rookie guard, Cade Cunningham, finished off with 19 points on a 53.3 FG% performance.

Surprisingly, the Milwaukee Bucks didn't manage to outscore the Pistons. They went for 11-46 from the 3-point line which was the main reason for their downfall. Giannis Antetokounmpo was the highest scorer for the team with 31 points. This was his 3rd consecutive game with more than 30 points after return from the COVID-19 protocols. He also added 10 rebounds and 7 assists to his performance on Monday night.

Jrue Holiday came up huge with 29 points, scoring 11 out of 19 attempts from the field. Bobby Portis also ended up with a double-double (12 points and 14 rebounds).

However, Khris Middleton and Grayson Allen can be blamed for the loss. The forward finished off with just 10 points for 27:50 minutes of play, while Allen shot 2-11 from the field and ended up having just 5 points. On top of that, Giannis, Pat Connaughton, and George Hill had a combined 1 successful 3-point shot from 14 attempts.

The Pistons put an end to a 0-16 run in head-to-head games against the Bucks. After this loss, the reigning champions remain 3rd in the East with 25 wins and 14 losses. The Pistons, however, escaped from the bottom of the table and are now 14th with the unattractive 7-28 record.

The Bucks will go on to play another match in Fiserv Forum as they will face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. The Pistons, on the other hand, will travel to Charlotte to face the Hornets, followed by a game in FedExForum against the Memphis Grizzlies.
