DStv Launches GH¢250 Sports Package for Ghana Fans in Big Pricing Reset

Ghanaian sports lovers get a dedicated GH¢250 monthly DStv package as the operator overhauls its entire subscription lineup from November 5, 2026.

Ghanaian fans, your sports fix just got its own lane. DStv is rolling out a dedicated Sports package at GH¢250 a month in Ghana, part of a wider overhaul meant to make the pay-TV giant's content easier on the pocket.

The new structure kicks in on November 5, 2026. It retires the familiar Padi, Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus and Premium bundles and replaces them with four options: Starter, Select, Sports and Ultimate. Starter will cost GH¢50 a month and Select GH¢100, while the Sports tier sits at GH¢250 for viewers who mainly want live action.

The announcement came at a joint press conference featuring the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and representatives of Canal+, DStv's parent company. MultiChoice Ghana CEO Alex Okyere credited the Ministry for keeping consumers at the center of the talks, saying officials pushed the company to define what better value should mean for subscribers and their families.

Okyere also thanked the Ministry, the National Communications Authority (NCA) and Canal+ leadership for their roles in shaping the new pricing. For fans across Ghana, the message is clear: a simpler lineup, and a sports-first option built for the people who live for matchday.
