Ese Brume Reclaims Africa Women's Long Jump Title at 2024 Africa Senior Athletics Championship

Nigerian athlete Ese Brume triumphantly reclaimed her Africa women's long jump title at the 2024 Africa Senior Athletics Championship in Cameroon.

Brume won the gold with a 6.73m jump, securing her fourth consecutive title in the event and maintaining her unbeaten run in Africa for eight years.

Another Nigerian long jumper, Prestina Ochonogor, finished fourth with a jump of 6.28 meters. 

Temitope Adeshina won the silver medal in the high jump final, losing to Rose Yeboah of Ghana.

Team Nigeria has now won a total of seven medals in the African Athletics Championship, including three gold medals, two silver, and one bronze.
