GFA Sets Kick-Off Dates for 2026/27 Colts Season Across All 10 Regions

Ghana's next generation of football talent gets its stage as the GFA unveils a staggered start to the 2026/27 Colts season from October 31.

Ghana's grassroots football pipeline is officially back on the calendar. The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the start dates for the 2026/27 Colts Football Season, with action rolling out across all ten Regional Football Associations from October 31, 2026.

The Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo regions will open the campaign as the first to get going. Volta and Central follow on November 14, then Ashanti, Upper West, Upper East and Eastern join the party on November 21. Western Region kicks off on November 28, while Northern Region brings up the rear with a December 15 start.

The Colts competition sits at the heart of the GFA's youth development strategy. It gives young players a platform to be spotted and nurtured at the grassroots, with the goal of feeding Ghana's national youth teams and the country's elite football academies.

With the schedule now locked in, the ball is in the court of the Regional Football Associations. The GFA expects each of them to deliver a smooth, well-organised start in their own region, setting the tone for a season where the next wave of Ghanaian stars could emerge.
