Ghana Colts Season Kicks Off 31 October as Youth Talent Hunt Begins

The 2026/27 Colts campaign starts 31 October, with Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo first out of the blocks across all ten regions.

Ghana's next generation of football stars get their stage on 31 October 2026, when the Ghana Football Association launches the 2026/27 Colts Football Season across all ten Regional Football Associations.

Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo will be first to open their campaigns, setting the tone for a nationwide push to uncover young talent at grassroots level. A full schedule for the regional competitions has been released, giving clubs, coaches and families time to prepare.

The Colts season is a cornerstone of the GFA's youth development strategy. Its goal is to spot and nurture promising players early, then open a clear pathway into Ghana's national youth teams and elite academies.

Delivery of the competition rests with the Regional Football Associations, who are expected to make sure the season starts on time and runs smoothly in their areas. The announcement came from GFA Communications.
