Ghana's futsal push gets a coaching boost as the GFA opens a Licence D course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Ghana is investing in the people who will shape its futsal future. The Ghana Football Association has kicked off its Futsal Licence D Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, part of a drive to deepen coaching expertise in a fast-growing discipline.
The course started on Sunday, October 25, and runs through Friday, October 30, 2026. Leading the sessions is CAF/FIFA Futsal Instructor Ghassane El Barhami of Morocco, bringing North African futsal know-how to Ghanaian coaches who want to sharpen their craft.
The curriculum covers the essentials: technical, tactical, physical and psychological development. Participants will also work through the Laws of the Game and coaching methodology, giving them a clear grasp of what futsal demands and how to guide players effectively in a quick, high-intensity format.
The course sits within the GFA's wider technical development strategy for the sport. The goal is to spread futsal across the country while equipping grassroots coaches with the tools to spot and nurture emerging talent early.
Hosting the programme at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence underlines the GFA's commitment to building proper infrastructure around the game. If the investment pays off, Ghana's next wave of ball-playing talent could be shaped by coaches trained right here.
