35 clubs, six zones and one promotion dream: Central Region's Division Two race hits Match Day 2 with Vipers, Royals and Division One alumni in action.
This is where Ghanaian football's pyramid starts to rumble. The 2026 Central Regional Division Two League enters its second matchweek this weekend, with 35 clubs across six zones chasing the title and a ticket up the ladder. It is grassroots football at its rawest, and the next generation of Ghanaian talent is fighting for visibility.
Zone One offers the headline clash. Kingdom Stars FC take on Venomous Vipers, a former Premier League side now working its way back through the lower tiers. UCC Youngsters, who have Division One League experience, face Abura Young Pioneers in the same zone, so expect a proper test of pedigree against hunger.
Zone Two brings a name-sharing derby of sorts, as Atechem Royals meet West Babianiha Royals in a battle of the Royals. Elsewhere in the zone, Denkyiraman United square off with Adwumam Young Brothers. In Zone Three, Kingdom FC host Bonful Soccer Club, while Schalke 04 FC go up against Razgold Academy.
Zone Four pairs Revelation Academy with Frienhoff FC, and Brofoyedur Aims Academy meet Kormantse Nkum FC as both look to build early momentum. Zone Five features another ex-Division One side, Kenpong FC, who face Cheetah FC in one of the weekend's notable ties.
With promotion on the line and established names mixing with ambitious community sides, every point matters this early. For these clubs, Match Day 2 is about more than three points. It is about proving they belong on the road to higher football in Ghana.
