Young Ghanaian midfielder Enoch Akuffo is heading back to Spain's AC Torrellano, only two months after he walked away from the Elche-based side. The 20-year-old has returned after struggling to find his feet at his new club.
Akuffo left Torrellano in August to join CF Pobla de Mafumet, but the move never really clicked. Torrellano have now confirmed his return, and on social media they welcomed him back home. They said he brings solidity, physical strength and balance to their play, and that he adds further quality to their attacking line.
The former Team Move player in Ghana is no stranger to the grind of Spanish lower-league football. Last season he made 23 appearances for Torrellano and started every one of them in the Tercera division, which shows how much trust the coaching staff had in him.
That familiarity could pay off quickly. Torrellano are chasing promotion to the next level, and Akuffo is expected to play a pivotal role in that push. For a young Ghanaian looking to build his career in Europe, a return to a place where he already belongs may be just the reset he needs.
