Ghanaian striker Kelvin Frimpong found the net early as Viking FK U19 thrashed Sabah 5-0 in the UEFA Youth League.
Ghanaian forward Kelvin Frimpong made his mark in Europe's youth ranks, scoring in the sixth minute as Viking FK U19 demolished Sabah U19 5-0 in the UEFA Youth League.
Viking were ahead inside three minutes when Jacob Middelthon struck first. Frimpong then doubled the lead just three minutes later, finishing off a pass from Nour Al-Mabhouh, who had also set up the opening goal. The Norwegian side never let up after that blistering start.
Henrik Kvelvane took over in the first half, scoring in the 32nd and 40th minutes to send the hosts into the break four goals clear. Max Hagen then added the fifth in the 48th minute, shortly after the restart, to finish off a one-sided contest.
Frimpong's night ended early. He was substituted in the 37th minute, but not before he had played a big part in the win. The goal gives him two in four appearances in this season's competition, along with one assist, a promising return for a young Ghanaian attacker making his case on the continental youth stage.
