Ghana's U-15 Boys Hammer Myanmar 7-1 for Second Straight Win

Ghana's young Black Starlets are flying in Azerbaijan, smashing seven past Myanmar to stay perfect at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival.

West Africa's youth football pipeline is putting the world on notice. Ghana's U-15 boys made it two wins from two at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan, dismantling Myanmar 7-1 in their second Group W outing on Sunday.

This came on the heels of a 4-1 opening win over Uzbekistan, and the young Ghanaians barely slowed down. Jerry Owusu and Abdul Aziz Issah, both in fine form, got Ghana in front early. Nathaniel Owusu then made it three before the break, giving the side a commanding cushion at half-time.

The second half brought more of the same. Shamsudeen Sulemana stretched the lead after the restart, and Angel Junior Adjei grabbed a brace to cap a thoroughly dominant attacking display. A Myanmar own goal added to the tally, and while the Asian side pulled one back late as a consolation, the outcome was never in doubt.

The numbers tell the story: 11 goals in two matches, and Ghana now sit firmly in control of Group W. There's little time to rest, either. The boys return to action later today against Guam, with a chance to extend their perfect start and keep the goals flowing.
