Ghana's next generation has left Accra for Azerbaijan, with five group games in three days awaiting them at the FIFA U-15 Boys World Cup and Festival.
Ghana's youngest hopefuls are on their way to the world stage. The U-15 Boys squad has departed Accra for Azerbaijan, where they will represent the Black Stars' future at the FIFA U-15 Boys World Cup and Festival, a fresh showcase for Africa's youth development pipeline.
The travelling party includes the players and technical staff, who arrive after several months of player screening and preparation. The event brings together U-15 teams from across the globe for competitive fixtures and development programmes, and it sits within FIFA's Talent Development Scheme, which aims to give young footballers early international experience.
Ghana have been drawn in Group W alongside Uzbekistan, Myanmar, Guam, Bahamas and Kazakhstan. The campaign opens against Uzbekistan on Saturday, October 24. Two more fixtures follow on Sunday, against Myanmar and Guam, before the group stage closes on Monday, October 26, 2026, against Bahamas and Kazakhstan.
That means five group matches in just three days, a demanding schedule by design. FIFA has set the format so every participating player gets as much match time and international exposure as possible, which makes squad depth, fitness and mentality the real tests for Ghana's young talents.
For a country with a proud record of producing top footballers, this trip is about more than results. It is a chance for the next crop of Ghanaian talent to measure themselves against the world and take a first big step on the road to the senior stage.
