Heart of Lions snapped a three-game losing streak with a gritty 2-1 win over Bechem United, and assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei is full of praise.
Heart of Lions are back in the win column in the Ghana Premier League. They edged Bechem United 2-1 at the Kpando Sports Stadium over the weekend to end a painful three-game losing streak and climb four places clear of the relegation zone.
Assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei admitted it was far from comfortable. Bechem United always make life hard for the hosts, he said, but his players dug deep and got the job done. He also thanked the coaches who ran the team in his absence, calling the result a collective effort.
Nii Adjei stressed how much the victory means for morale. After a rough run of results, the team needed a confidence boost, and he praised the players for delivering it when it counted most.
The next test is a big one. Heart of Lions face Hearts of Oak on Sunday, November 8, with kickoff set for 3 pm at the University of Ghana Stadium. After the Bechem win, they will go into that clash with belief restored and momentum on their side.
