Joseph Hudson says Basake Holy Stars are fired up and ready to take on Hearts of Oak in Accra on Friday.
The Ghana Premier League serves up a big Friday night test, and Basake Holy Stars midfielder Joseph Hudson insists his teammates are travelling to Accra with one goal: leave with something to show for it.
Hudson pointed to the buzz in camp this week, saying the intensity and energy in training have been very high. According to the midfielder, the message from the group is simple: either take the points in Accra or bring them home.
Confidence is understandably strong. Basake beat Bechem United 1-0 in matchweek seven, with Bismark Teye striking in the 56th minute to settle the contest. That win lifted them to fifth in the table with 12 points from seven games.
Still, Hearts of Oak have been a tough opponent for them. Last season, Basake held the Phobians to a 0-0 draw away from home before losing the reverse fixture at home, so there is unfinished business to settle.
The two sides meet at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Friday, with kick-off set for 5:00 pm.
