Hull City have completed the signing of defender Festus Arthur from non-league side Stockport County.

The 20-year-old has joined the Tigers for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year contract with the option of a further year.

"I'm very happy to be a Hull City player. It's something that's been going on for a while now and I'm just excited to finally join the club," Arthur told the club's website.

"I've had a good chat with the gaffer and I like him as a person. I'm looking forward to working with him and getting to know my new team-mates. I just can't wait to get going."

The center-back, who can also play as a defensive midfielder has featured heavily for National League outfit Stockport this season, scoring twice and helping to keep seven clean sheets in 31 appearances.

Arthur who was born in Hamburg and is of Ghanaian descent has become Hull City's second permanent signing.
