'I think he's lost his marbles!': Tyson Fury slams Deontay Wilder over wild conspiracy claims

Share

Tyson Fury believes Deontay Wilder has ‘lost his marbles’ as the former heavyweight champion continues his conspiracy claims.

Fury took the Bronze Bomber's WBC belt in February after a dominant display in Las Vergas but Wilder has since offered a nearly endless list of excuses for his poor performance. He initially said his extravagant ring-walk costume was too heavy and blamed his trainer Mark Breland for throwing the towel in to confirm Fury's seventh-round stoppage. Fury has also been accused of having weights in his gloves, with Wilder claiming an ‘egg-weight’ left a dent in his head. https://twitter.com/boxing_social/status/1326132464671207426 And Fury has responded to Wilder’s latest outburst during an interview with talkSPORT, saying the Bronze Bomber is going crazy.

'I think he has lost his marbles!  'First of all it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves…

“Now someone has spiked his water… It’s one of those things, isn’t it.”

Reports suggest that negotiations between the pair had been called off last month after the rematch clause expired. Fury said he had 'moved on' after becoming frustrated by Wilder changing the dates initially agreed.

He is now set for a warm-up fight - possibly against Agit Kabayel - and then hopes to take on Anthony Joshua in an epic undisputed bout in 2021.
