Iheanacho has been turned away by Polish border control, will miss Europa League Game

Share

The Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho was blocked from entering Poland by border control this afternoon after an error over his documents.

Iheanacho was due to start in Leicester’s Europa League group C clash against Legia Warsaw tomorrow evening.  The Nigeria international now has to fly back to the UK.

Brendan Rodgers shared the following: "We've had an issue with Kelechi. His documentation coming into the country wasn't sufficient, so he wasn't able to travel. He will be unavailable for the game.
Wilfred Ndidi is also banned from the game due to red cards issues. https://twitter.com/NFootball360/status/1443274018472222728?s=20
Legia top Group C after beating Spartak Moscow 1-0 in their opening game while Leicester gave up a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Napoli.
