The English champion Liverpool are reportedly willing to offer Dejan Lovren to Napoli as part of a deal for defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to Tutorsport in Italy, Liverpool is eager to strengthen their squad and believed that they can get Napoli to lower their 90 million asking price for Koulibaly by offering them Lovren.

Meanwhile, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis previously said that the club would turn down any bids of less than 60 million for Koulibaly. But Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has several options at the defense, but still considering a move for Senegalese international.

The 30- year- old central defender joined Serie A club S.S.C. Napoli on 2 July 2014 on a five-year contract, for a fee around the margin of £6.5 million. The former KRC Genk player made 174 appearances for Stadio San Paolo and scored 10 goals.

Koulibaly helped Napoli to finished the season as runners-up to Juventus, with Koulibaly earning the inaugural Serie A Best Defender award for the season, 2018–19 season.
