With Hearts of Oak second in the Ghana Premier League, Nebojsa Kapor wants a packed stadium to power a third straight win against Basake Holy Stars.
The Ghana Premier League title race is heating up, and Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Kapor wants the Phobians' loyal army of fans to turn up in force as his side chase a third consecutive win. Hearts host Basake Holy Stars at the University of Ghana Stadium on October 23.
Accra's giants have found a gritty rhythm, grinding out back-to-back 1-0 wins over Port City FC and Vision FC. Those results have lifted them to second in the table with 14 points from seven matches, right among the early front-runners.
Kapor says the bond between the squad and the stands is a big part of that story. "We are really very happy after a few games because we are in top. As I said, we cannot separate each other in our family. We are all together," he said.
Then came the direct appeal. "I am calling them to come on stadium support us. With them we are stronger. They are our 12 players," the coach added.
Basake Holy Stars will travel to Accra hoping to carry over the momentum from their own 1-0 result, so Hearts should expect a stern test. A full house at the University of Ghana Stadium could make the difference as the Phobians try to stay near the top.
