Cheslin Kolbe spearheads South Africa's push in Europe, with Toulouse, Northampton and Glasgow all boasting talents to watch this season.
South Africa's European invasion has a familiar face at the front. Cheslin Kolbe is set to spearhead a star-studded Stormers side, and the Springbok wizard's electric footwork makes him one of the most compelling players to follow on the continent this season.
The Stormers aren't the only side with a buzz around them. Toulouse have raised eyebrows by adding Italian centre Tommaso Menoncello, a signing that gives the French giants even more firepower in midfield. Expect plenty of attention on how he slots into one of Europe's most feared attacking set-ups.
In England, Northampton believe they have a genuine phenomenon in Fin Smith. The fly-half is central to the Saints' ambitions, and his control and composure will be tested as the stakes rise in the biggest games of the campaign.
Then there is Glasgow, who made real strides in the Champions Cup last season. They reached the quarter-finals and pushed Toulon all the way. To repeat that run, or go one better, Sione Tuipulotu will need to be firing on all cylinders. And with Leinster boss Leo Cullen's last dance in the mix, this season already has plenty of storylines to follow.
