Ghana's Kwasi Wriedt struck twice to put Havelse in command, but ten-man Würzburger Kickers clawed back a 2-2 draw with two penalties.
Ghanaian striker Kwasi Wriedt was the man of the moment in the 3. Liga on Tuesday, scoring twice for TSV Havelse. It still wasn't enough for the win, as Würzburger Kickers fought back to draw 2-2 at the Eilenriedestadion.
Wriedt broke the deadlock in the 24th minute, finishing off a move set up by Robin Velasco. Just 11 minutes later he struck again, and Havelse went into the break 2-0 up. Würzburger had been reduced to ten men in the 27th minute when Ebrahim Farahnah was sent off, which seemed to leave the hosts well placed to take all three points.
The visitors refused to fold. Tarsis Bonga pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 70th minute, and in stoppage time Jermain Nischalke converted a second penalty to snatch a point. Wriedt had already been withdrawn in the 68th minute, replaced by Lorenzo Paldino after an influential display.
The Ghanaian now has four goals and two assists in eight league appearances this season. Havelse stay 20th in the table and next face Meppen on October 18, where Wriedt will be looking to keep his scoring form going.
