LeBron James says he will campaign for Joe Bidden and Kamala Harris

Share

NBA star LeBron James has officially confirmed his support for the Joe Bidden and Kamala Harris ticket.

The 35-year old said he will join the campaign team of the duo, as they seek to unset Donald Trump as President.

James made this known on VICE TV's "Cari & Jemele: Stick To Sports” where he said the US badly needs change.

“We are at a time where we need change. In order for change, it's all about leadership -- and leadership starts at the top,” he said.

This is not the first time that James is actively campaigning for a Presidential candidate, having done so for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Presidential polls.

He even once joined her on stage for a rally in Ohio, although Hillary eventually lost to Trump.

James has a long history with Trump, with the pair having traded jabs in the past, culminating in the NBA star describing Trump as a bum.

Biden, though, has endeared himself to the black community after picking Kamala Harris, also a black, as his running mate.
