Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman delivered a standout performance as Atalanta cruised to a 5-0 victory over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Sunday.
Lookman played a key role in Atalanta’s dominant display, scoring in the 43rd minute to cap off a strong first half in which his team had already taken control. An own goal from Emmanuel Gyasi and a strike from Mateo Retegui had put Atalanta ahead before Lookman’s well-timed finish extended the lead.
The Nigerian forward was a constant threat to Empoli’s defense, showcasing his movement, creativity, and link-up play throughout the match. His influence helped Atalanta maintain attacking fluidity as they added two more goals in the second half to complete the rout.
