Madueke’s Brace Fires Arsenal to a 3–0 Win Over Club Brugge

Arsenal maintained their flawless UEFA Champions League league-phase campaign with a commanding 3–0 victory over Club Brugge, driven by a superb Noni Madueke brace.

Mikel Arteta rotated his squad after the weekend loss to Aston Villa, yet the Gunners immediately imposed themselves, with Martin Ødegaard testing debutant goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel early on. Arsenal continued to threaten as Piero Hincapié struck the post and Viktor Gyökeres saw a header deflected wide.

Madueke opened the scoring in the 25th minute, dancing past multiple defenders before firing a rocket in off the crossbar. Arsenal pushed for a second, but Club Brugge, led by Carlos Forbs and Aleksandar Stanković, carved out chances of their own before halftime.

The second half began perfectly for Arsenal as Madueke nodded home his second within 90 seconds of the restart.

Moments later, Gabriel Martinelli made club history by becoming the first Arsenal player to score in five consecutive UCL matches, finishing with a brilliant curling strike.

Brugge continued searching for a lifeline through Christos Tzolis and Brandon Mechele, but Arsenal remained in control. Gabriel Jesus struck the crossbar before 16-year-old Marli Salmon made his senior debut in a memorable night for the Gunners.

The win makes Arsenal only the second English side ever to record 10 straight victories in UCL group or league-phase games, moving them three points clear at the top. Club Brugge, still winless since their opening match, sit 30th and three points shy of a play-off spot.
