Mario Balotelli was refused access to Brescia training ground on Tuesday as his medical certificate isn't valid until Wednesday.
Footage from an Italian journalist showed turned away by security as he arrived and was advised to leave by a club official.
The Ghanaian-born Italian striker is reported to have told local media as he sped off in his Mercedes: "Now say that I don't want to train."
Players across Serie A – which restarts on June 20 – have been told to present valid medical documents on arrival at training grounds and stadiums.
Balotelli, who signed a three-year deal at the club last summer, could now return to training on Wednesday.
The Serie A club is seeking to terminate the former Manchester City and Liverpool striker's contract after a mutual termination deal was rejected, with president Massimo Cellino saying the deal to sign him was a "mistake".
Balotelli reportedly earns an annual salary of £877,000 at the Serie A side.
The ex-AC Milan striker has bagged five goals in 19 games this season before play was suspended for coronavirus.
Brazilian side Vasco da Gama could be Balotelli's next destination.
