The legal team of Toronto Raptors president Masi Ujiri has released the body camera footage of his encounter with a security worker at Oracle Arena.
The incident, which happened during Game 6 of the 2019 Finals, of currently the subject of a countersuit.
Ujiri’s attorneys have accused Deputy Alan Strickland of being “undeniably the initial aggressor.”
The video shows the Raptors executive presenting his press credentials when he was shoved by the Warriors security guard.
A surprised Ujiri could be heard questioning, “Why did you push me? I’m the president of the Raptors” during the incident.
Meanwhile, the Alameda County Sheriff’s office has hit back at the Raptors President, insisting it stands by Deputy Alan Strickland.
Ujiri was sued in February by Trickland, who alleged that the Raptors President initiated physical confrontation.
Despite the release of the body cam videos, the Alameda County Sheriff maintained that Ujiri was the “aggressor”.
The Office, therefore, urged the public not to be “quick to judge based off of what the lawyers are saying.”
