Jean-Philippe Mateta is reportedly plotting a January Palace exit while United quiz Toney's availability and Barcelona watch Chelsea's Estevao.
Jean-Philippe Mateta, the French striker with African roots, is reportedly heading for the Crystal Palace exit door in January. The forward has been a focal point of Palace's attack, so losing him would hit Selhurst Park hard. It would also set up one of the more intriguing transfer sagas of the winter window.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are said to have made an enquiry about Ivan Toney's availability. The England striker has long been linked with a move to a top club, and United's interest suggests they may be looking at adding firepower up front. An enquiry is only a first step, though, and nothing suggests a deal is close.
Barcelona are also making noise. The Catalan giants are reportedly tracking Chelsea winger Estevao Willian, the young Brazilian who has already earned a big reputation. Barça keeping tabs on him shows how highly he is rated, though Chelsea are unlikely to let him go cheaply, if at all.
It is still early in the rumour cycle, and plenty of this gossip may come to nothing. But with January approaching, Mateta's future, United's striker search and Barcelona's interest in Estevao are all worth watching.
