Bordeaux Begles attack coach Noel McNamara will step into the top job at Leinster next season, replacing Leo Cullen.
Leinster have their next boss. The Irish province has confirmed that Noel McNamara will take over as head coach from next season, succeeding Leo Cullen.
McNamara currently works as attack coach at Bordeaux Begles, one of the most eye-catching sides in European rugby. He now moves from running an attack to running the whole programme at one of the continent's biggest names.
The appointment marks the end of the Cullen era. Cullen's time at the helm made Leinster a constant presence at the sharp end of the competitions they enter, and the new man inherits a squad and a standard that leave little room for a slow start.
The big question now is how McNamara will shape the side. Leinster supporters will be watching closely for his attacking ideas as he prepares to take charge ahead of the new campaign.
