Mo Salah becomes first Liverpool player to score 20 goals or more in four consecutive seasons

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah scored a brace to make him the first Liverpool player to score 20 goals or more across all competitions in four consecutive seasons since Ian Rush’s feat between 1981 and 1987. Salah ended a run of six league games without a goal as Liverpool beat West Ham 3-1 at the London Stadium on Sunday, fashioning his first in fine style with some clever footwork inside the penalty area before a sublime touch and finish to cap a counter-attack for the visitors. The Egyptian international’s goals moved him to 15 in the Premier League this season and three clear in the race for the division’s Golden Boot. https://twitter.com/OptaJoe/status/1355938025843392516 With the two goals against West Ham at the London Stadium, Salah became the first Liverpool player to score 20 goals or more across competitions in four straight seasons since Ian Rush’s feat between 1981 and 1987, according to OptaJoe. Overall, in the current campaign, Salah has struck 21 goals across all competitions for Liverpool, 11 more than Sadio Mane, who sits second in the club’s goals chart this season with 10 goals. Next on the list are Diogo Jota with nine goals and Roberto Firmino with six goals.
