Mohamed Salah Hits 100 Away Goals for Liverpool with Match-Winning Brace at St. Mary’s

Mohamed Salah added another remarkable milestone to his career, scoring twice as Liverpool staged a dramatic comeback to beat Southampton 3-2 at St. Mary’s.

The victory extended the Reds’ lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points over Manchester City.

After Dominik Szoboszlai’s opener for Southampton, Liverpool fell behind but fought back, thanks to Salah’s brilliance. The Egyptian forward equalized before sealing the win with a composed penalty, awarded after a handball by Yukinari Sugawara.

In scoring his brace, Salah reached 100 away goals for Liverpool, becoming only the third player in the club’s history to achieve this feat. He joins legends Ian Rush (161) and Roger Hunt (112) in this exclusive club, leaving Billy Liddell (86) in fourth place.

Salah’s consistent form shows no signs of slowing down. The 32-year-old has now tallied 12 goals and 10 assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this season, averaging a goal contribution every 65.4 minutes.

Salah also edges closer to becoming Liverpool’s fourth all-time top scorer. With 239 goals to his name, he is just two behind Billy Liddell (241) and within reach of Gordon Hodgson (241), who is third on the list.

As his contract approaches its expiration at the end of the season, Salah’s decisive performances underline why Liverpool should prioritize securing his long-term future.
