Mohamed Sanu is recovering from ankle surgery

Share

The eight-year veteran suffered a high ankle injury in a Week 11 clash against the Eagles in 2019, leading to him to miss the next game before returning in Week 13.

With the injury not healing as expected, Sanu preferred to have surgery to repair the ankle in the offseason. Sanu played eight games for the Patriots last year, recording 26 receptions for 217 yards and scoring one touchdown.

Apparently, he has recently taken the cast off his feet:

Without legendary quarterback Tom Brady under center, Mohamed Sanu will have to build a close relationship with either quarterback Jared Stidham or veteran backup Brian Hoyer tossing the football. With the start of the season being about four months away, Sanu should have ample time to rehab his ankle and work into getting back to game shape.
