Mohammed Sanu reportedly in better shape after having surgery

New England Patriots star Mohammed Sanu has allegedly gotten better after having a successful surgery on his ankle.

The 30-year-old wide receiver battled with niggling injuries for the better part of last season and went under the knife in the off season.

Having started his journey to full recovery, former player turned trainer Hilton Alexander believes Sanu is now in a better shape than he was before undergoing surgery.

“I would tell you he’s probably faster, quicker, leaner and in better shape now than prior to the surgery,” he said.

“I would say he’s way ahead of any doctor’s knowledge or prediction where he would have been at this point. Way ahead of the curve.”

Sanu was in scintillating form during his stints with Cincinnati and Atlanta, but has been a long way off his best in recent seasons.

However, coach Bill Belichick has expressed confidence that the New England wide receiver will soon be back to his best.

Alexander, who is in his third offseason working with Sanu in Atlanta, added that fans will see a “100% Mohamed Sanu.”

“I know the fans didn’t get a chance to see 100% Mohamed Sanu. I promise you, that is a huge chip on his shoulder now.

“He is training like he has something to prove, like this is Year 1 in this league and he has to make his name known,” Alexander said.
