MOUSSA MAREGA OF FC PORTO, WALKED OFF THE PTCH OVER RACIST ABUSE

Moussa Marega of FC Porto has walked out of the pitch during a football match between FC Porto and Vitoria Guimaraes, saying he was subjected to racist abuse from the supporters of the home team, Vitoria FC.

Mali international scoring in the 60th minutes of the game, to put his team FC Potor in the lead by 2goals to 1 over the home side , walk out in the 69th minute towards the dugouts. He raised his fingers to the crowd, his team-mate and the opposition players tried to convinced him to stay on, but he eventually went off.

The governing body of Portugal's top flight has condemned the behavior of the fans saying it " it does not agree with the acts of racism, xenophobia, intolerance". "These acts shame football and human dignity"

"The greatness of the institution of Vitoria should not be confused with the attitudes of some fans who have no place in football and sport.

"Li-Portugal will do everything so that this, and all episodes of racism, do not go unpunished, believing that this is a fight without coloures and where everyone is decisive to eradicate this behavior.

In the player instram post, he said the home fans"who come to the stadium to make racist screams " were "idiots".

Marge signed for Porto after spending 2016–17 on loan at Vitória Guimarães, he became a regular in the Porto side and won a league title.
Marega made his international debut for Mali in 2015 and was part of their squad at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017. He played 25 games and scored 15 goals
