NBA 2020 Finals: Los Angeles Lakers extend lead over Miami Heat after Game 2

The Los Angeles Lakers are now two wins away from their first NBA title since 2010.

They beat Miami Heat  124-114 in Game 2 of the NBA series Friday night.

Game three will take place in the NBA bubble on Sunday (Monday 00:30 BST).

The Heat showed up to play, but the Lakers ultimately just had too much of a talent advantage to drop this game.

Two points in the first quarter. That was the biggest lead the Miami Heat would hold in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The Lakers led the rest of the way, casually dominating just enough to take a 124-114 win.

Lakers remain undefeated (4-0) in their Black Mamba jerseys.

The Heat kept this game nominally close, but every time they cut their deficit to single digits, the Lakers seemed to have a counterpunch to put it back out of reach.

Credit to Miami for giving an exemplary effort — especially in the second half after a motivational speech from 40-year-old bench veteran Udonis Haslem.

Heat were without star players, Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo.

After the game, Lakers star player, LeBron James pay tribute and dedicated the win to Kobe Bryant’s family.

James scored 33 points and Anthony Davis contributed 32, as the Lakers wore 'Black Mamba' uniforms in honour of Lakers legend Bryant.
