NBA player Malik Beasley is out of prison early for good behaviour

Malik Beasley, guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has been released from jail after serving time for making violent threats last September. The guard for the Wolves pleaded guilty back in February to felony charges of threats of violence. Beasley had been accused of pointing a gun at a family member last September when they had pulled up in front of his house. Beasley was released Tuesday at 7:09 a.m. after serving 78 days of his 120-day sentence. https://twitter.com/Ballislife/status/1427653437358022662?s=20
Beasley is entering his third season with the Timberwolves after being acquired by the team ahead of the 2019-20 trade deadline. Last season, he played in just 37 games due to suspension and injuries, averaging 19.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.8 minutes per game. He also shot 44% from the field and 39.9% from three. Minnesota signed Beasley to a four-year, $60 million deal last offseason with the plans of him being a big part of their core going forward. With Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards already in the mix, the Wolves have a legitimate young nucleus to build around. Now, Beasley will be back as part of that team after serving a league suspension and his sentence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzMJOUNO5Wo
