Newcastle’s hopes of luring Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani to St James Park has received a major boost as Paris St Germain are unlikely to renew his current contract.
According to Express Sports, 33-year old Cavani will have his current deal expire with PSG in June, letting him become a free agent from July 1.
Cavani has been courted by several English club’s in the past including Manchester United and Chelsea, but Newcastle are likely to land the top striker this summer.
